We've all been holding our breath around here and praying constantly as we anxiously awaited the news from Ann Marie about baby Spencer...
and we've got some great news to share! After a meeting today with Ann Marie & her husband Mike, their birthmommy Megan has changed her mind again and wants them to continue with the adoption of sweet Spencer!!! Praise God for this turn of events!!! What an answer to our prayers!
However, we need to all keep praying. Because of the paperwork she signed yesterday, Megan has another seven days to reconsider. Pray that she would be more and more assured of her decision and listen to all of her friends and family around her who are consistently telling her to choose adoption. Pray most of all that Christ would give Megan the peace that passes all understanding in this tremendous grief. What a brave girl she is to walk through this-- we have the utmost of respect for her as she is trying to sort out so many feelings and decisions right now. We know from OUR birthmommy Megan how hard those first few weeks can be.
And baby Spencer, I just about got onto my car and started driving up to see you... :)
We are rejoicing that you are happy at home with your Mommy & Daddy! We know God has a special plan for you.
Praise the Lord! God does hear and answer prayer.

ReplyDeleteI'm typing this one-handed as I hold little Spencer in my arms. We are happy and scared at the same time. Thanks to each of you who are praying....we are humbled and awed by His sustaining power. It is only His strong arm that strengthened us during this severe heartache. Next Mon after 5pm, we're hopefully having a party! :-)
