U2...

Marc & I (Amy) had an AWESOME time driving up to Charlottesville to see U2 perform! It was unlike anything I had ever seen before.

We sat with the RUF campus minister at Washington & Lee University and his wife.

Here comes the fog! You know what that means! U2 is almost here & the place is PACKED! (you might click on this picture to see it close-up. Notice the 360 walkway on the outside circle of the stage and also check out the sidewalk-bridges and you'll see why in a second...)

Bono! Wow- not only was the music/sound system UNBELIEVABLE (certainly state-of-the-art), but the stage and effects made the show even better.

The 360 tv screens at the top somehow made it look like you were watching a live music video being filmed. Throughout the show the screens did some amazing effects, like this...

the tv screens literally "dropped" down almost to the stage!

And remember those sidewalk-bridges I mentioned earlier? THEY MOVED!!! Here's "the Edge" (the lead guitarist) walking on one of them while playing. It was so neat when Bono would sing on one of them as it was slowly going over a sea of people and he's leaning down looking right at them & singing right to them. In this pic you can also see the 360 walkway that the musicians would sing/play/dance on to get closer to the crowd.

Unforgettable!
