Daddy and I gave Nanny and Papa a warm welcome to the Commonwealth of Virginia!
I scream (like I did in church this morning)... You scream...
We all SCREAM for ICE CREAM!!!
Oh, and you'd probably like to know that after a rough patch, I've finally made amends with my duckie tub. It's not so bad after all!!
THANK YOU, Nanny and Papa for coming to see me!!! Y'all were a huge help to Daddy and me while Mommy was away. See you again real soon!

mama, we miss you!
So, Daddy and me put Mama on one of the 3 jets that leave Lynchburg each day because we all know she won't be riding any prop planes! ;-) She and Auntie have gone to visit my new cousin, Erik! So Mama, we know you have a lot of work to do- helping Uncle Michael and Aunt Cheryl with all that baby stuff, decorating for Pop and Maime...
But, you've got to get home soon because daddy's "cooking" is disgusting!
Just kidding! What could be better than Chick-fil-a for lunch, then a sandwich, fruit, and chhhhiiiipis for dinner (more chips, please!). Thankfully, my reinforcements (Nanny and Papa) will be coming tomorrow, so I won't have to worry if daddy can keep this up until you get back.
Well, I'm not in any huge hurry to get my bathtub done. This pool has way more space to run around in and daddy's even piping out hot water for me through the water hose!
But, daddy sure does seem to be in a hurry! Look what he did after I went to bed! Isn't that just like a daddy? He does a little bit of work and then has to let the world know! Well, you've only been gone for less than a day and he and I both are a lot more thankful for all the work you do, Mama! How do you do all that work, love us well, and keep up this blog, too?
Enjoy your time laughing and shrilling with Auntie! (I'd be shrilling right along with you if I were there!) We love you and miss you!

rennovation report...
Quick update on the former pepto-pink bathroom... (for any of you who'd like to see our progress after one week)
(I like to sneak in there and pretend it's my job to take the tiles out of the box.)
The white subway tile is going up on the shower walls all the way to the ceiling. (if you're wondering, that gap is where we'll be putting a soap dish & tiling around it)
(hmmm...let's see here...)
You're doing a great job, Daddy!
And since Mommy's flying to Texas tomorrow by herself to meet my new cousin, Erik, guess who'll be in charge of taking over the blog for the next few days?? :)

yay-ya & line...
Was this really ME last Memorial Day? Is this the same baby??
Well, go ahead and laugh at our ghetto pool we put up in the backyard, but we sure had a blast this evening with our neighbors from down the street!
And boy, did I LOVE my pool!!!
"Bzzzz!"
Wanna come on in, Leah? (she calls me "Line" and I call her "Yay-ya") Not this time? Well, that's okay. We've got the whole summer to play together.
Hope you all had a happy memorial day! We are so thankful for our troops who defend our freedom so we can have fantastic evenings like tonight! Bye bye!

fun at 15...
Wanna know what's fun to a 15 month old? (besides the stuff like throwing food and spontaneous high-pitched screaming, of course...) Here are some things I'm willing to bet all my fellow 15 month-old friends out there are enjoying, too...
-Reading books is always a good time.
-Taking objects OUT of any kind of bucket, basket, bag, or purse and then putting them back in... over and over again!
-Plastic easter eggs! (I LOVE to pull them apart & put them back together)
-Balls!
(no matter the size) :) Add in the outdoors & it's even better.
Climbing onto anything I can find.
But here's something that I'm sure all the MOMMIES of 15 month-olds think is the most fun:
getting kisses and hugs. :)
Here's some more 15 month stats specific to me:
-Weight- 23 lbs 11 oz (50-75th percentile)
-Height- 30" (25-50th percentile)
-Head circumference: 18 3/4" (90th percentile)
-Most days I take one LOOOONG nap from about 12:30-4:00pm & sleep at night from approx. 7:30pm- 7:00am.
-I use sign language to say hi, more, all done, & hungry.
-I've now got 16 TEETH!!
-I like trying the motions to "The Wheels on the Bus Go Round & Round" (especially the coins on the bus that go "clink clink clink")
-I like it when Daddy sings the Beach Boys' song that goes "Ba ba ba, ba ba-rbara ann" because I can say "ba ba ba ba" with him!)

two things...
If you read yesterday's post, you know that we were waiting on a tub before two things happened...
and though it certainly isn't luxurious, I've now got a functioning tub! So that means...
Daddy can now shave...
and I can now bathe! Aaaahhhhh... thanks for the tub, Daddy.
And I knew that he was quite the handyman, but who knew Daddy could fix treadmills, too?!

relegated...
Renovations on the pink bathroom are now underway!
After saying our final farewells to the pepto pink, Daddy & a student, Brad, drove it all off into the sunset... (woohoo!)
leaving us with no sink, no toilet, no walls, and no tub...
which means I've been relegated to the inflatable duckie tub, and um... let's just say... I HATE it, okay? (we strive for complete honesty here at crazyforcaroline, so we're not gonna sugar-coat our feelings) :)
Don't you feel sorry for me?
So now two things are happening until we get our new tub in...
1) I'm not bathing.
2) Daddy decided he's not shaving.
And because Mommy doesn't like EITHER of these 2 things, we're ALL in need of a new tub quick!

welcome to the fam...
I've got a new cousin! Uncle Michael (Mommy's brother) & Aunt Cheryl had their baby today!
Erik Michael Barnett was born today in Frisco, TX, at 4:03pm weighing 6 lbs, 7 ounces. It's perfect timing because today is my (Caroline's) 15 month birthday, so we'll be exactly 15 months apart!
Welcome to the family, cousin Erik! We love you already!
And look at all that HAIR!
I'm puttin' on my shades for you because I can already tell that you're one cool dude. :)
