what's great about grandparents...

Listen up all of you grandparents with young grandchildren! We hope you know how important you are in our lives! You'll never know how much it means when you...

play with our children and build family bonds that will last a lifetime...

read to our children and open up all kinds of new and exciting worlds to them...

give us an excuse to sport our cutest clothes for people who will "oo" and "aah" over them... (thanks for the jacket, Lori!)

allow Mommy & Daddy the chance to get out on a beautiful day and go bike riding together along the river...

and babysit for the evening so they can have a DATE! (they hadn't been to a movie since I was born!) Mommy said as much as she loves me, it was just so wonderful and refreshing to have time alone with Daddy.

You guys are the greatest and we are so thankful for all that you do. Let's hear it for all the grandparents!

  1. As the next potential beneficiaries of "grandparents' day(s)," I have to say, well, just... yay! More of this sort of thing (because we may soon benefit from it ourselves)! That said, Cheryl and I haven't gone to a movie ourselves for a long time -- but Netflix (and our utter cheapness), not having no children, is to blame for that!

Also, although I have a dispositional hatred of stating the obvious: Caroline is absolutely adorable. Why haven't you folks found some company to pay you to put its logo on her hat/shirt/whatever yet? Just sayin'.

    Love,

    Michael

  2. It's time for the grandparents to pay another visit to see our adorable granddaughter and do all those things with her we just love to do. Right, Caroline?

    Love Ya,

  3. Kind words for grandparents. Thank you very much! Now if all grown "children" would appreciate their children's grandparents in such a way -- wouldn't the world be a sweeter place?! ;)

Seriously, Caroline is obviously blessed with loving parents and grandparents. Thanks be to God!
